Light: Completely sheer - cover fx illuminating setting powder

Bought this after seeing great reviews on YouTube. What a let down. Even though price is lower than Laura Mercier's powders, it's still far from the cheaper drugstore brands but L'Oréal's hydrating loose powder is waaaaay better performing than this. Does not apply as smoothly and gives a sheen at the wrong areas on the face. Better off using a powder that's not illuminating & just using a highlighter instead. Perhaps it doesn't suit my skin type; I'm in my 40s with combi to oily skin. So give it a try if you are younger & with a different skin type. Curious to know if it's just me. I gave it a decent 3 stars coz it does at least set my makeup.

Medium: Completely sheer with a hint of warmth - COVER FX Illuminating Setting Powder

Give an overall soft glow after I set my foundation, BB or CC cream. I love the fine powder texture and the container design as I can control the amount of powder that I want to use easily. Doing makeup is just so fun for every day!

Medium: Completely sheer with a hint of warmth - Doesn't Blend Well

The powder is very pigmented, which is good, but for a setting powder, it doesn't actually blend well or come off well. I tried baking with it, and it didn't work well at all. I was disappointed by this especially since I paid $50 for it!

Medium: Completely sheer with a hint of warmth - Ms

This setting powder is worth 5 stars cos firstly; it comes in a medium shade. Secondly, it is definitely good for setting/baking under eye areas especially. Especially when one has crow feet. I do notice that after baking, the crow feet are much less noticeable.

Light: Completely sheer - Cheaper than the Laura Mecier one!

Bought this out of desperation for my very oily skin and am pleased with the results. Applies easily with my kabuki brush and is completely unnoticeable, leaving no obviously powdered appearance. The product isn't overly illuminating which I'm not concerned by but still leaves a more~radiant~ finish to your makeup. Also it's cheaper than the Laura Mercier one so I feel like I'm budgeting more when I spend money on things I don't need <3

Light: Completely sheer - Very nice

Really nice setting powder . Not sure about the illuminating part - I didn't really see much of that to be completely honest. It did hold up as a great setting powder though and I will absolutely continue using it . Feels nice on , not caked on - light and lovely .

Light: Completely sheer - Great!

It can be brushed over your face slightly to set your makeup or it can be layered on to provide a bit of a highlight, it lasts reasonably well throughout the day and I love the size of this (I'm not a big powder girl). Coverfx has such great ingredients and it hasn't clogged my pores or broken me out (I have very sensitive acne prone skin) The light one is enough to be translucent - I bought this on a whim and I don't regret it.

Light: Completely sheer - Shimmer, shimmer!

Absolutely love the Finnish this leaves over my foundation. It makes my face have that 'lit from within' look. Since starting to use this I have had tons of complents on my skin while wearing it. Also love how finely milled it is, perfect for setting my under eye area. Only thing I can fault it on is that it has a weird smell haha... But that is no big deal when it works as well as it does.
